Paige Lynch - first-place winner of the American Royal UPHA Essay Contest!
On November 13, in Kemper Arena, the sound of horses' hooves mingled with the announcement of Belinder sixth grader, Paige Lynch being named as the first-place winner of the American Royal UPHA Essay Contest! Paige, who regularly rides and shows horses, wrote an essay that clearly described her love of horses and the many life lessons learned from them. Her essay, "Riding at a Young Age," is on display next to her blue ribbon during the United Professional Horseman's Association show at the American Royal this week. Paige was awarded tuition for a horse camp for young ladies held at Timbermist Stables. Way to go, Paige, for proudly representing Belinder Elementary School and the Shawnee Mission School District!
